However, unlike the i7+ or other top rated robots we tested, the i3+ doesn't have obstacle-avoidance capabilities and therefore it could get stuck on things like socks or power cords and may have issues traversing transitions across surfaces like from hardwood to carpet.
iRobot recommends that you tidy the area around the i3+ EVO vacuums prior to using it. This includes getting rid of any toys or other clutter it might encounter. It is also recommended to keep the dustbin and filter clean to prevent them from getting blocked. The Roomba i7+ can remember up to 10 floor plans and their names with Imprint Smart Mapping, a system that allows it to identify rooms to clean them more efficiently. It also works with the iRobot Home app to let you schedule cleaning jobs and control your robot using voice or through the app.
The i7+ is faster and more maneuverable in our tests compared to the eufy RoboVac G30. It also cleaned large pet hair pieces from all surfaces, including carpeting. Its main advantage over the eufy, though it self-empties its dust bin that eliminates a major source of maintenance and reduces the cost of maintenance.
We were also amazed by the i7+'s integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services that we used to instruct the robot to begin, stop or pause its cleaning sessions and move around the room, and even vacuum an area. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ with these services. When connected to these services, we were able give the i7+ voice commands like "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home App also offers options to manage i7+ settings and evaluating performance.
3. Dyson Cyclone V10
This tiny Dyson model is a sports car in a world of cordless vacuums that feel like minivans and buses. It has the power and features to replace a stand-up vacuum for many households and can fit in well next to the table for a coffee or shelves that you can spin around like the magic device.
The V10 is powered with a 7-cell energy-dense Lithium-ion battery that produces power without fading for 60 minutes.
